Mr Dimitris Katsochis is a Civil-Transportation Engineer of NTUA, with MSc in Civil (Transportation) Engineering from University of California at Berkeley, CA, USA. Executive of PLANET S.A. consulting firm since 2008, he serves as Senior Manager in infrastructure development. In his 17-year professional experience, he possesses excellent thematic understanding of transport sector, as demonstrated through medium and large-scale service contracts successfully implemented worldwide. His main expertise comprises Traffic/Parking Studies, Road Safety, Transport Systems Design (demand forecasts, terminal stations etc.), Road/Railway Alignment Design, as well as Transport Projects’ Feasibility / Socioeconomic Studies. He is experienced in the Assessment of CSF Operational Programmes and ex-ante/ex-post evaluations of Cohesion Fund projects, as well as exploitation of organisations’ real estate property.
Mr Katsochis speaks English and German. He is co-author of several papers in conferences and scientific journals. He is the Vice-President of the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers and Chair of HITE Committee on Freight transport & Logistics. He has worked in several FP6/7 EU research projects in road safety and supply chain. He is certified road safety instructor, as well as submissions reviewer in the ICTR Conference organised in Greece since 2002.
