Dr. Stamatis Polydoras is a PhD Mechanical Engineer of NTUA. He currently serves at NTUA as Laboratory Teaching Staff of the School of Mechanical Engineering (ME), his topic being 3D Printing – Rapid Prototyping & Tooling. Within the frame of NTUA’s School of ME curriculum he teaches 3D CAD and advanced topics in Mechanical Engineering Design, while at the same time he supports educational, research and other activities of students and researchers in the Rapid Prototyping & Tooling Laboratory of the ME School, operating as one of its founding members. He is a pioneer of Additive Manufacturing / 3D Printing for Greece, being active in this scientific area the last 21 years and he has carried out numerous relevant innovative applications and research projects in the fields of mechanical products and constructions, new product design and development, architecture, survey engineering, paleontology, archaeology – cultural heritage and others.
